The betting odds suggest that Thanksgiving will be full of competitive NFL games as none of the three contests on Thursday’s schedule feature a line of more than four points.

The Houston Texans are favored in the holiday’s opening game, laying 2.5 points on the road against the Detroit Lions, according to point spreads compiled by OddsShark.

The Dallas Cowboys are favored by a field goal over the Washington Football Team in the second game. The Pittsburgh Steelers conclude the slate as four-point favorites over the Baltimore Ravens in primetime.

Houston and Detroit have Thanksgiving’s highest total at 51.5 points. The over/under for Dallas and Washington is 46. The game in Pittsburgh features a total of 45.

The Steelers are not only the NFL’s only undefeated team. Pittsburgh boasts the league’s best betting record, covering the spread in eight of its 10 games. The Ravens are 4-5-1 against the spread.

The Cowboys own the NFL’s worst record against the spread at 2-8. The Texans are 3-7 both straight up and against the spread.

The Thanksgiving opener is Thursday’s only game that isn’t a rematch. Both Houston and Detroit are under .500 and likely out of playoff contention.

Washington routed Dallas 25-3 in Week 7. Both teams are coming off Week 11 victories and fighting for the NFC East title. Even though the rivals only have three wins apiece, Thursday’s winner will jump into first place in the division.

Pittsburgh can virtually eliminate Baltimore from the AFC North race. The Steelers are four games ahead of the Ravens in the standings. Pittsburgh beat Baltimore 28-24 in Week 8.

The Ravens are on a two-game losing streak with three losses in their last four contests. Each of those defeats was decided by six points or less.
