Making survivor pool picks starts to get more difficult in Week 6, which features the first byes of the 2021 NFL season. With four teams idle, there are only 14 games to choose from instead of the usual 16. The New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers are all off for the week.

Here’s a ranking of the top-10 survivor pool picks for NFL Week 6:

1) Los Angeles Rams (at New York Giants)

The chances of Daniel Jones playing probably are not great after he was carted off the field Sunday with a concussion. If Mike Glennon gets the call, New York might have the NFL’s worst starting quarterback in Week 6. Even if Jones does manage to take the field, Los Angeles is the much better team, having only lost to the 5-0 Cardinals.

2) Kansas City Chiefs (at Washington Football Team)

Washington has beaten a pair of last-place teams and lost to all three opponents that have a winning record. Kansas City has faced a brutal schedule, and all of its losses have come against 4-1 teams. The Chiefs still have a top-five offense. Washington ranks in the bottom half of the league in both offense and defense.

3) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (at Philadelphia Eagles)

Tampa Bay’s only loss in its last 13 games came on the road against a very good Rams team. Tom Brady is first in passing yards and second in touchdowns. The Eagles have been beaten pretty easily by the good teams on their schedule.

4) Indianapolis Colts (vs. Houston Texans)

The Texans have been feisty, but they’ve only beaten the winless Jaguars. During Houston’s four-game losing streak, the team has been outscored 71-21 in two road losses. The Colts have been defeated by all playoff teams.

5) Green Bay Packers (at Chicago Bears)

Aaron Rodgers owns the Bears with a 20-5 career record against Green Bay’s top rival. The difference between the two quarterbacks will be too much for Chicago to overcome, even at home. Justin Fields is averaging 129.3 passing yards and just 8.3 rushing yards per game in three starts.

6) Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. Seattle Seahawks)

No team relies more on their quarterback than the Seahawks. Now that Russell Wilson is sidelined for the foreseeable future, Seattle will be one of the league’s worst teams. Geno Smith should struggle against an above-average defense. The Seahawks rank dead last in total defense.

7) Dallas Cowboys (at New England Patriots)

The Cowboys have gone undefeated since narrowly losing on the road against the defending Super Bowl champs to start the season. Dallas is second in the league, scoring 34 points per game. New England hasn’t topped the 25-point mark in five games. The Patriots have only beaten a pair of one-win teams.

8) Miami Dolphins (vs. Jacksonville Jaguars in London)

When in doubt, pick against the Jaguars. Jacksonville has lost 20 straight games, including four losses this season by double digits. Miami, however, is on a four-game losing streak.

9) Denver Broncos (vs. Las Vegas Raiders)

Everything has fallen apart for the Raiders since their 3-0 start. After losing two straight games by double digits, Las Vegas suddenly lost its head coach when Jon Gruden resigned Monday. The Broncos rank ahead of the Raiders in yards per play. Denver has surrendered 23 total points in two home games.

10) Cincinnati Bengals (at Detroit Lions)

The Bengals barely make the list since they are visiting a winless team. Cincinnati has more talent than Detroit, but they could be upset by a Lions squad that keeps coming up just shy of getting into the win column.
