There are 14 games on the NFL Week 9 schedule, and half the matchups feature a betting line of at least six points. The No. 1 seed in both the AFC and NFC are underdogs. All three teams playing at home in primetime are significant favorites.

Here are picks against the spread for every game in Week 9 of the 2021 NFL season, as well as updated betting odds. Betting lines come from FanDuel Sportsbook.

New York Jets (+10.5) at Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis should absolutely win this game, but relying on the Colts to beat any team by more than 10 points is a risky proposition. Carson Wentz still commits too many turnovers. Mike White was more than competent in his first start for the Jets.

Prediction ATS: New York

Buffalo Bills (-14.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars

The Bills are 5-0 against sub-.500 teams and they’ve won all those games by more than 14 points. Jacksonville might be the worst team that Buffalo has faced yet. With one-sided losses against Tyrod Taylor, Teddy Bridgewater, and Geno Smith, the Jaguars stand little chance against MVP favorite Josh Allen.

Prediction ATS: Buffalo

Las Vegas Raiders (-3) at New York Giants

The Raiders are a playoff-caliber team. The Giants are in last place in a bad division. Derek Carr leads one of the NFL’s best offenses. New York has scored more than 21 points in regulation just once.

Prediction ATS: Las Vegas

Denver Broncos (+10) at Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott will probably play, though that was the expectation early last week. Maybe the Cowboys will rest their starter for another game since Cooper Rush proved he can win with this roster. Denver's defense can keep this within 10 points.

Prediction ATS: Denver

New England Patriots (-4) at Carolina Panthers

Whether it’s Sam Darnold or P.J. Walker who gets the start, Carolina’s quarterback will have a lot of trouble against Bill Belichick’s defense. New England is holding opposing quarterbacks to an 82.5 passer rating. The Patriots would be on a four-game winning streak if they didn’t lose to the Cowboys in overtime.

Prediction ATS: New England

Minnesota Vikings (+5.5) at Baltimore Ravens

The Vikings keep finding ways to lose heartbreakers against good teams. This could be another example with Baltimore coming off a bye. The Ravens have a pair of wins by fewer than three points and another victory that came in overtime. Minnesota’s four losses have come by 15 total points.

Prediction ATS: Minnesota

Cleveland Browns (+2.5) at Cincinnati Bengals

Injuries to Baker Mayfield and the offensive line, as well as Odell Beckham’s ineffectiveness, give Cleveland an underwhelming offense. The Browns have failed to score more than 17 points in four of their last five games. Cincinnati is the only AFC team that ranks in the top eight in both yards per play and opponents’ yards per play.

Prediction ATS: Cincinnati

Houston Texans (+6.5) at Miami Dolphins

Both teams are 1-7 with no wins since the season opener. If Tyrod Taylor makes his return from injury, Houston might have the best quarterback in this game. Miami isn’t good enough to be favored by more than six points.

Prediction ATS: Houston

Atlanta Falcons (+6) at New Orleans Saints

The Saints beat the Falcons 21-16 with Taysom Hill under center last season. Sunday’s contest should feature a similar result with New Orleans finding a way to win a low-scoring game. Each of Atlanta’s last five games has been decided by seven points or fewer.

Prediction ATS: Atlanta

Los Angeles Chargers (-1.5) at Philadelphia Eagles

Don’t be fooled by Philadelphia’s 44-6 win over Detroit. The Eagles haven’t been able to hang with playoff-caliber teams. Look for Justin Herbert to bounce back after consecutive mediocre performances.

Prediction ATS: Los Angeles

Green Bay Packers (+1) at Kansas City Chiefs

It’s probably time to stop waiting for Kansas City to turn its season around. The Chiefs were lucky to beat the Giants Monday night. Green Bay has four more days of rest than Kansas City and remains undefeated since losing in Week 1. Aaron Rodgers is playing far better than Patrick Mahomes this year.

Prediction ATS: Green Bay

Arizona Cardinals (-2.5) at San Francisco 49ers

With Kyler Murray battling an ankle injury, San Francisco has a real chance to pull off the upset. Murray’s performance declined last year when he was less than 100% healthy. The 49ers held the Cardinals to 17 points in Arizona, and San Francisco’s offense should be improved with Jimmy Garoppolo starting this time over Trey Lance.

Prediction ATS: San Francisco

Tennessee Titans (+7.5) at Los Angeles Rams

The Rams opened as 4.5-point favorites before both teams won in Week 8. The three-point shift is too big of a move, even after Derrick Henry’s injury and the addition of Von Miller to Los Angeles’ defense. Tennessee can challenge Los Angeles after upsetting Buffalo and Kansas City.

Prediction ATS: Tennessee

Chicago Bears (+6.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers

Like most of Pittsburgh’s games, this should be a close, low-scoring affair. Even if the Steelers take care of business at home, they might have trouble winning by seven points, considering Pittsburgh hasn’t scored more than 27 points in any game.

Prediction ATS: Chicago
