  • Cannon said Carey didn't want the twins to have cellphones

Nick Cannon has revealed that Mariah Carey was mad after he gave their twins cellphones this year. The host of “The Masked Singer” said that his ex-wife wasn’t pleased when he bought their children the one thing she had told him not to buy.

Cannon and Carey, who share twins Moroccan and Monroe, finalized their divorce in 2016. In the preview clip for the next episode of “Nick Cannon,” which will air on Oct. 11, Cannon talked about a deal he had with Carey about getting cellphones for their kids.

“My oldest twins, Roc and Roe, wanted a cellphone at 8,” he shared. “And they have iPads, and I was all for it—I am all about it. But Mariah was like, ‘Uh-uh, they ain’t gonna be googling us! Learning about all their new brothers and sisters, no. We aren’t playing,’” he added.

“And I respected it at 8. But then we kinda made a deal, so we said at 10, then they can have it. Mariah was still like, ‘Uh-uh, no!’ So at 10, I snuck, and I still got them the cellphones for their birthday,” he continued.

Cannon went on to reveal that he had intended to hand the twins their new cellphones during their birthday bash, even when he knew Carey would not appreciate it. Just as he had expected, Carey got mad. “Mariah is still mad at me to this day,” he laughingly said in the clip.

After the preview clip was dropped, Cannon shared it to his Instagram Stories to ask his followers if he was wrong. “I gave Roc and Roe cellphones for their 10th birthday—but Mariah didn’t want me to! WAS I WRONG?!” he captioned his post.

Aside from his twins with Carey, Cannon is also a dad to five other children. On June 14, he welcomed twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with Abby De La Rosa. He also shares a son with model Alyssa Scott, Zen, who was born nine days after Zion and Zillion. Last December, he welcomed daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell. They also share a son named Golden.
