Nina Dobrev, 30, and Grant Mellon, 32, first sparked romance rumors after they were spotted smooching in a Cannes vacation at numerous Super Ball LIII parties. Despite their PDAs, the pair kept details of their relationship under wraps. However, recent reports are claiming that “The Vampire Diaries” star and the screenwriter-directors have already separated.

E! News reported that Nina and Grant ended their romance after less than a year of exclusively seeing each other. A source claimed the former girlfriend of Ian Somerhalder has not been talking about Grant lately. Also, Nina has, reportedly, been hanging out with her close pals sans her boyfriend.

"Nina hasn't mentioned a breakup," another insider told the entertainment news publication. "But she hasn't spoken about Grant in several weeks. She seems to be quite happy and has recently been out socializing with friends, each time without Grant," it went on.

For starters, Nina Dobrev and Grant Mellon, allegedly, first met during the "Lucky Day" actress’ 30th birthday party in January. At the time, the two were said to be enjoying each other’s company. Though neither of the lovebirds has confirmed their relationship back then, the former co-star of Paul Wesley, reportedly, referred to Grant as her beau among her close friends.

In March, Nina and Grant were spotted together while watching an L.A. Lakers game. Reports have it that Nina and Grant have also spent time with the “Flatliners” actress’ BFF Julianne Hough and her partner Brooks Laich. Other sources claimed that Nina was “really happy” in the arms of Grant.

Aside from Grant Mellon, Nina Dobrev was also linked to other gentlemen including “Scream Queens” star Glen Powell, Austin Stowell, Liam Hemsworth, Derek Hough, Evan Williams and Ben Hollingsworth. She dated Ian Somerhalder from 2010 to 2013.

Neither Nina nor Ian has revealed the primary cause of their split up to this writing. However, the former lovebirds vowed to remain friends despite their failed romance. Since they are “consummate professionals,” an Us Weekly source claimed Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder “will continue to work together and remain best friends, which is where the relationship started.”
