After a straight-set loss against Rafael Nadal in the recently concluded 2020 French Open, Novak Djokovic decided to visit a Bosnian "pyramid park" that is speculated to have "healing powers" and "miracle cures" on Tuesday.

Two days after being swept 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 by Nadal, the world No. 1 took a trip to Visko's Valley of the Pyramids and its 25,000-year-old tunnels beneath. The European Association of Archaeologists has already debunked claims of the location having healing powers, Yahoo Sports reported.

"I would invite all athletes to come here to spend time in the tunnels, which are very beneficial for the increase of oxygen in the lungs," Djokovic told public TV station FTV.

"It has a direct effect on regeneration, on recovery, which is very important for athletes," he said.

Djokovic had an earlier visit back in July after he and his wife contracted COVID-19. This was after Djokovic hosted the Adria Tour that resulted in several people testing positive for the coronavirus.

"If there is paradise on earth, then it is here," Djokovic said during his initial visit.

The past year has been an eventful one for Djokovic as he’s been at the center of attention for both good and bad incidents. While he’s maintained his no. 1 ranking on tour, he still receives a heavy amount of criticism.

After the events of the Adria Tour, he was also met with mixed opinions for the player-only union he initiated alongside Vasek Pospisil. This was followed by a controversial exit in the U.S. Open after inadvertently hitting a line judge on the throat with a ball.

"I understand that there are people that don’t like maybe what I do on or off the court," Djokovic said.

"I understand that I can’t be liked by everyone. That’s fine. I think it’s important to have an understanding of who you are and your position in this life, be grateful and move on," the Serbian shared.

Djokovic is a 17-time Grand Slam champion and is looking to add more wins to his career. While Nadal and Roger Federer are tied with 20 majors won, Djokovic is the youngest among the "Big Three" players of the sport at 33 years old.
