  • Many speculate the new OnePlus 10 Pro would be launched at the event

Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer OnePlus will reportedly host a physical launch event in Las Vegas in early January 2022. It is believed that the company will also be debuting the rumored OnePlus 10 Pro at the event.

This information was suggested by industry insider Max Jambor who shared an image of the company's invitation to the January 5 event on Twitter. The event, which will be held in Las Vegas aligns with the first day of the highly anticipated Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2022.

Apparently, the invitation was sent to tech journalists, asking them to "catch up" with the Chinese company. Unfortunately, that is all there is in the invitation and it did not mention any products that would be showcased at the event.

While TechRadar speculated that the OnePlus 10 might launch in January of February, another Tom's Guide highlighted the possibility of the series being launched at CES 2022 in January.

OnePlus has a wide range of products, many believed the event would debut the OnePlus 10 smartphone series. Based on the company's launch pattern, it has not yet launched any device at the CES.

However, OnePlus has recently merged with Oppo, so some industry watchers believe the company could be trying out a new launch strategy. It may be recalled that earlier leaks claimed the OnePlus 10 Pro would be launched sometime between January and February 2022 in China, and would be released between March and April in other parts of the world.

OnePlus 9 was launched in March 2021 and looking at this release pattern, there is a big chance that the speculations about the January 2022 launch are true. Rumors have it that the OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Pro would house the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

Additionally, the series' Pro version would reportedly sport a 6.7-inch quad HD Plus display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The smartphone's processor is tipped to run with up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The smartphone series is also believed to feature IP68 and would pack a 5,000 mAh battery. OnePlus 10 Pro is also said to sport a triple rear camera setup with a 48 megapixel primary sensor.

Other rear camera lenses include an 8 megapixel telephoto lens and a 50 megapixel ultrawide camera. For selfie lovers, the premium smartphone would reportedly feature a 32 megapixel camera.

OnePlus has not yet confirmed that it is launching a new flagship smartphone series.
