The Chinese tech startup OnePlus has cut the price of OnePlus 1, OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X permanently, across the globe.

OnePlus’ official website enthusiastically says “We’ve got good news for all OnePlus fans: starting today, we’re lowering the price on all of our smartphones. Our focus remains on providing the best possible smartphone experience for you, and what better way than this? We’re all in this together, after all.”

As it turns out, this permanent price cut is applicable retroactive as well. This means, if a buyer purchased any of the OnePlus handsets just two weeks ago, the company will reduce the price of the ordered handset as the retroactive period covers 14-days. In case, any of the buyers ordered the device in the aforesaid time period, they should visit Customer Support page of the company.

Speaking of price, the OnePlus 2 smartphone in Sandstone Black hue with 64GB of native storage can now be availed for just $299. The OnePlus X, on the other hand, has been priced at $199 for the Champagne version. As of this moment, the OnePlus One is out of stock in the official website.

Apart from OnePlus 1, 2 and X, the tech startup is gearing up to release the powerful OnePlus 3 flagship on June 14. OnePlus will apparently be making use of VR to launch the new flagship. Also, the company has seemingly got rid of the infamous invite-only purchase model. Hence, after release, interested buyers will be able to order the OnePlus 3 online.

As far as the rumored specifications go, the OnePlus 3 will apparently carry the same 5.5-inch display and 1920 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, similar to the predecessor. However, unlike last year, the OnePlus 2 successor is believed to have used LCD display technology instead of the ubiquitous AMOLED screen. This change will help the handset get “deeper blacks and better contrast.”

Under the hood, without any surprise, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 chipset will reportedly power the handset. Speaking of RAM, past rumors suggested that the OnePlus 3 will be released as two variants with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage combination, in addition to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage bundle.
