originals season 3 spoilers
"The Originals" executive producer Michael Narducci (not pictured) reveals what's next for Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin, pictured) in Season 3 of the hit CW series. CW

In the Season 2 finale of “The Originals,” fans watched with wide eyes as the Mikaelson’s attempted to take down their evil Aunt Dahlia (Claudia Black) once and for all. But to send the evil enchantress to the underworld, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) had to become a bit devious himself, which resulted in the death of some characters and the furry fate of others.

That’s right, Klaus turned Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) into a wolf in the final episode of the sophomore installment -- or as Elijah (Daniel Gillies) so poetically put it, Klaus decided to “condemn her to the body of a beast.” But the method behind Klaus’ madness was pure. According to the menacing hybrid, he needed to betray his loved ones in order to gain Dahlia’s trust just enough to take her down.

Although Klaus was successful in his mission to rid New Orleans of Dahlia and her wrath, he’ll now have to face the fury of the family members he deceived in an effort to save his daughter. And according to Tonkin, Klaus’ kin won’t be too quick to forgive the master manipulator in Season 3. (The CW revealed that they had renewed “The Originals” for a third season in January at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour.)

“Hayley’s not going to be able to forgive him easily for what he’s done,” the actress told TVLine. “Even if he did it for the good of his baby, I don’t think he did it in the right way. He should have let Hayley know that’s what he was doing so she could have been part of the plan. But he didn’t do that, so now, [she’s] pissed.”

And rightfully so! Thanks to the curse placed upon Hayley, “we’re only going to see Hayley once a month” seeing as though she’s only allowed to return to her human form under a full moon.

“I hope that at least one episode will be the full day when I’m human,” she said, adding that “it could be really cool” to see what Hayley looks like as a four-legged creature. “I’d also like to see Hayley in wolf form. I don’t know if we’ve seen that yet.”

Executive producer Michael Narducci promised that although Hayley has been turned into a wolf, viewers have “definitely not seen the last of her.” The showrunner dished to TVLine that in the third installment of “The Originals” the writers will have to resolve what has been done to Hayley “and if there is any cure to her situation.”

Although the EP neglected to reveal whether an antidote would be found in the forthcoming season, he did confirm that Tonkin is “not being written off the show.” Now that's something worth howling about!
