Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's reconciliation may have been inevitable as new sources claim that the two have been keeping in touch even after their split.

Perry and Bloom were spotted at Ed Sheeran's concert at the Staple's Center in Los Angeles over the weekend, sparking speculation that the singer and actor have decided to get back together. Following their sighting, sources close to the couple revealed that they were not surprised that Bloom and Perry have been seeing each other again.

"They have never cut communication since they broke up," an insider told E! News. "They just took a break because it was the best thing for them at that time, [but they] are seeing each other again."

The insider added that Perry and the "Lord of the Rings" star are determined to put in more effort to make their relationship work this time and that they no longer care about the public's opinion.

"Katy and Orlando want this to work this time, so they are working on mending their relationship. They've had some really good talks and have a better understanding on their needs. Time will tell at this point, but [things are] looking very positive," the insider added. "When they went out in public, they were aware that people would start speculating that they were back on, and they are OK with that. They love each other and never stopped."

Perry and Bloom's reconciliation did not come as a surprise to fans as well, considering their dating history. The "Dark Horse" singer dated ex John Mayer on-and-off from 2012 to 2015. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star, meanwhile, had an on-again, off-again relationship with Kate Bosworth for four years from 2002 to 2006.

Perry and Bloom started dating in 2016 and split months later in March 2017. Following their breakup, the "Kingdom of Heaven" star was linked to "The Vampire Diaries" alum Nina Dobrev. However, both parties denied the dating rumors. "Nina and Orlando are just friends. They have the same representation and friends in common and often end up in the same social group. That's all it is," Dobrev's rep told People.

Meanwhile, Perry has not completely shied away from talking about her exes, including Bloom. In June, Perry revealed who among her exes was the one that got away. According to the singer, Josh Groban was "the one that got away" for her. She put in Bloom second and Diplo last.
