‘Orphan Black’
What will happen to Beth (Tatiana Maslany), Cosima (Maslany) and the rest of their sisters in “Orphan Black” Season 5? BBC America

BBC America just dropped an emotional extended teaser for “Orphan Black” Season 5.

The two-minute clip opens with a flashback to Beth (Tatiana Maslany) deciding to commit suicide. The next scenes show a series of important events in the lives of her clone sisters, Sarah, Helena, Alison and Cosima. Fast forward to the present, Sarah, Helena, Alison and Cosima talk about the bond that they share with each other. They also open up about their relationships with their loved ones, as well their friends.

But the teaser also offers a hint at what’s in store for all four clones in Season 5. They reveal that all of them will face big challenges, but they will ultimately decide to stick together. The clip ends with all four standing beside each other and holding the others close.

The fifth and final season of “Orphan Black” is set to premiere on June 10 at 10 p.m. EST. In February, co-executive producers Graeme Manson and John Fawcett released a statement confirming the end of the hit TV series. “We are excited to deliver an epic conclusion to the tale of Sarah and her clone sisters. The past four seasons have been a phenomenal adventure and we are eternally grateful to our loyal fans who have loved the twists and thrills of our weird little show. We are thankful to our partners at Temple Street, and to BBC America and Space for their support and giving us the opportunity to end on a high,” their statement read (via Entertainment Weekly).

According to the publication, since its 2013 premiere, “Orphan Black” garnered significant critical and industry praise. Lead star Maslany also won her first Emmy last year for her multiple roles in the series.
