The compilation version of the chaotic co-operative cooking game “Overcooked” received a free content drop to celebrate the series’ 5th anniversary.
The Birthday Party update for “Overcooked! All You Can Eat” adds a handful of new content for players who own the game on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch, bumping up the game’s already considerable repertoire of playable levels, character models and food recipes.
Players can expect five new birthday-themed kitches, a new Tabby Cat chef and a recipe for tea the next time they load up “Overcooked! All You Can Eat.” As of the new update, the game now has over 200 kitchens to play in and 80 chefs to pick from across both the original game and its sequel, “Overcooked 2.”

“Overcooked! All You Can Eat” compiles both games into one package. Players will be able to play through all of “Overcooked 2’s” kitchens as well as remastered versions of the original games’ levels. This new version also features an Assist Mode for players who are having trouble with completing orders, as well as full cross-play support for all of the game’s platforms.
“All You Can Eat” also features 4K graphics support, full online multiplayer and accessibility options like dyslexia-friendly text and color blindness options.
To top this free content update off, “Overcooked! All You Can Eat” is currently free to play on Steam for players who want to try the game out before they make a purchase. The rest of the “Overcooked” games are also on sale for discounts of up to 80%.
“Overcooked” is a cooking game for 1-4 players through online or local co-op. Players are given the simple-yet-difficult task of cooking dishes for customers in kitchens of varying layouts. The objective is to cook as many dishes as quickly and accurately as possible to earn coins. Players are then given a 1-3 star rating based on the amount of coins they received in a level.
The game was widely praised for its frantic, chaotic and uproariously hilarious moment-to-moment gameplay that's best experienced with friends. It remains one of the most well-known party games for all ages to this day.
