“Fast & Furious” actor Paul Walker was remembered Sunday a year after he died in a tragic car crash. While his father and close friend Tyrese Gibson mourned the star publicly, his daughter Meadow remained silent.

His father, Paul Walker III, said in a statement to E! News he still speaks to his late son as if he were still here. "I feel his presence every day," Walker III said. "I miss talking to him a great deal. He had a good heart."

Walker was 40 years old when he was involved in a fatal accident in Santa Clarita, Californi,a last year. His daughter, Meadow, did not take to social media Sunday, but she remembered her father on what would have been his 41st birthday three months ago. “Happy Birthday, I love you,” she captioned a throwback picture on her official Instagram account. More than 37,500 people liked the image.

Dozens of people sent their thoughts to the teen on the anniversary of the actor’s death. “My thoughts are today with yourself,” fyps.tattoo wrote. “Your family, and all who Paul touched with Love.”

“Such a great picture. A memory out of so many to cherish,” agrado714 shared. “My heart goes out to you and your family. Your father is truly a special person. Be strong and know that he is always by your side.”

“Fast & Furious” costar and friend Tyrese also took to Instagram to remember the late actor. “In this life one would hope to be this 'effective' 1 year ago today God called an angel home early,” he wrote. “I miss my brother I miss my friend and I miss OUR STAR!!!!!” He also sent “prayers and energy” to Meadow and the rest of the Walker family. “Rest in heaven,” he finished.
