Update - 1/22/18 1:07 p.m.: Pearl Jam officially announced on Monday afternoon that they will be playing two concerts at Seattle, Washington’s Safeco Field on Aug. 8 and 10 this year. These are being called “The Home Shows.”

Tickets are not yet available and there has been no news from the band about the other reported stadium show.

Original Story:

Pearl Jam last toured in North America in 2016 and fans are more than ready for the band to return to the United States with summer 2018 dates, which means hopefully the rumors are true and a tour is in the works.

Currently, the rock group is set to perform later this year in various locations internationally, like Chile, Argentina and Brazil as part of Lollapalooza, as well as other countries, including England, Italy and Poland, but no stops in the U.S. have been set, yet. At least not officially.

The band’s website allegedly leaked a slew of concert dates at baseball stadiums around the country on Friday before quickly taking them down. But apparently not quick enough because fans, and outlet Alternative Nation, were able to grab screenshots of the dates before they disappeared.

Here are the tour dates that were supposedly shared on the site:

  • Aug. 8 – Seattle, Washington at Safeco Field
  • Aug. 10 – Seattle, Washington at Safeco Field
  • Aug. 13 – Missoula, Montana at Washington-Grizzly Stadium
  • Aug. 18 – Chicago, Illinois at Wrigley Field
  • Aug. 20 – Chicago, Illinois at Wrigley Field
  • Sep. 2 – Boston, Massachusetts at Fenway Park
  • Sep. 4 – Boston, Massachusetts at Fenway Park

Not only does Alternative Nation have the screenshots to back these up, but Pearl Jam has also been posting coordinates on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram the last couple of days and when the first six are put together, they pinpoint Safeco Field on a map. This location also makes sense because the band formed in Seattle, Washington, and the members have an affinity for baseball, which is why they performed at stadiums at the end of their 2016 tour and even released a documentary of their performance at Wrigley Field.

This is also why, according to the screenshots, the Seattle dates will be considered “home shows” and the other dates might be noted as “away shows,” to go along with the baseball theme and the band’s origins.

Since these dates were taken down from the site, but the social media posts are new, fans are expecting the band to officially announce the tour dates this week, which means the announcement could be here any moment.

One Reddit user, who allegedly interns at a radio station, posted on the Pearl Jam subreddit to share that his station is supposed to be revealing on Monday a local Pearl Jam concert date. The user got a glimpse of the announcement and it has about 10 dates total for the band’s upcoming North American tour and states Royal Blood might be opening for them on a few dates.

Apparently fans will be finding out soon enough about a possible Pearl Jam tour.
