Pete Davidson revealed that his dream in life is to be a father. A sneak peek of “Hart to Heart” season 2 shows the “Saturday Night Live” star gushing about the milestone, saying it’s his “favorite thing ever.”

Describing himself as a “family guy,” Davidson said he wants to be a father despite not having a great childhood. “My favorite thing ever, which I have yet to achieve, I wanna have a kid. That’s like my dream,” the 28-year-old said in an interview with Kevin Hart, ET Online reported.

“It’s like super corny, but it would be so fun. Dress up the little dude. It’s just like, I’m so excited for that chapter. That’s kind of what I’m just preparing for now, is just trying to be as good as a dude, develop and get better so when that happens it’s just easier,” he added.

Earlier in the interview, the “King of Staten Island” star revealed that his passion for being a parent is bittersweet, as he had lost his dad at a very young age.

Davidson's father was a New York City firefighter who died while helping rescue people trapped in the 9/11 terrorist attack on World Trade Center.

“My childhood was not great. Dad passed early. Single mom. New sister. Just did not handle it great,” he said, calling the experience a “f***ing nightmare.”

Despite his difficult childhood, Davidson entered the world of stardom when he joined "Saturday Night Live." In fact, he said it was the childhood experiences that fueled his career in stand-up comedy, adding that he’s glad his family was supportive of him when he first ventured into entertainment.

“I’m like, ‘If my childhood was fine, I’d probably be a construction worker in Staten Island and be the happiest guy ever,’” he told Kevin Hart. “But that weird s**t that it does to you made me love comedy,” he added.

Davidson’s romance with beauty mogul Kim Kardashian has been going strong since November 2021. A source previously told ET that he’s getting along well with his girlfriend’s kids with Kanye West, North, 9, Saint, 6, Chicago, 4, and Psalm West, 3.
