Getting a COVID vaccine may be a lucrative way to cash in on some freebie deals just by showing off your vaccination card.

Several businesses are offering perks to anyone that has received the shot as part of a push to help get America fully vaccinated from COVID-19, so that life can return to a sense of normalcy as soon as possible.

To date, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported that more than 45.5 million people are fully vaccinated from the virus, accounting for 13.7% of the U.S. population. As many as 83.9 million people have already received one dose of the COVID vaccine, the agency said.

To help increase these numbers, companies are doing their part by offering incentives to Americans to get out and get the vaccine.

Here are seven businesses offering a freebie deal to those that have received their COVID shot.

Weed Deals

One of the more original ideas to get people to schedule their COVID vaccine comes from Michigan-based marijuana dispensary The Greenhouse. The company is offering “Pot for Shots,” where it will give customers a free UBaked pre-roll with the proof of vaccination as “thank you” for helping to end the pandemic.

Customers must be 21 years of age and have a valid and unexpired medical card with ID. One free joint is offered per patient and must be picked up in-store or via curbside pickup at The Greenhouse in Walled Lake, Michigan, through March 31.

In a statement on its website, The Greenhouse said, “We're all hoping that the COVID vaccine is the beginning of the end for this pandemic that has taken such a toll on our neighbors, our communities and our nation. If you choose to get the COVID vaccine (we always support the freedom of choice) this is our way of saying "thank you" for helping to end this pandemic and getting us back to normal.

Food And Beverage Deals

Krispy Kreme is giving away free doughnuts to anyone that has received their COVID shot with proof of vaccination.

Vaccine recipients will be able to receive a free Original Glazed doughnut from the chain, just by showing their vaccination card throughout the rest of 2021.

“We all want to get COVID-19 behind us as fast as possible, and we want to support everyone doing their part to make the country safe by getting vaccinated as soon as the vaccine is available to them,” Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme chief marketing officer, said in a statement.

Other food deals for vaccinated customers include 50% off at Detroit-based Oak & Reel restaurant for dine-in patrons that got their shot, according to Axios, while Mass Live reports that Rumbleseat Bar & Grille in Massachusetts is offering 20% off food orders on Mondays for vaccinated customers.

The Market Garden Brewery in Cleveland is selling beer for 10 cents to the first 2,021 people who have a completed COVID vaccination card, and The Village Tap bar in Chicago is giving away $10 gift cards to the first 1,000 people that have proof of their COVID vaccine, according to WLS-TV, an ABC affiliate out of Chicago.

Retailer Deals

Staples is also offering a perk to COVID vaccine recipients with free lamination of their vaccination card after all doses of the shot are completed, allowing the card to be kept safe and in mint condition, CBS News reported.

A spokesperson told the news outlet in an email that the "offer is valid at Staples stores nationwide now through April 3.”
