  • Grealish transfer to United still uncertain
  • Red Devils executive cautions supporters on Grealish expectations

Jack Grealish may have just ignited a new round of Premier League transfer rumors after recently liking a post by Manchester United over on Instagram. A Jack Grealish transfer to Manchester United has been in the air for quite some time now even if some feel indifferent about the move.

Grealish raises some attention recently when he like a post by Manchester United on Instagram. The caption read: "These four goals capped off a perfect Premier League opening weekend," where Marcus Rashford's brace was followed by goals from Anthony Martial and Daniel James.

It remains to be seen if the recent social media activity of Jack Grealish raises the chances of United getting the Aston Villa footballer. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly keen on getting the 24-year-old to Old Trafford despite the financial limitations over the horizon.

No less than executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward cautioned fans and supporters that big-money transfers in the summer are not a certainty. The league and teams are suffering from big losses since the COVID-19 shutdown and most clubs are forecasted to curb down spending on expensive players.

“As ever our priority is the success of the team, but we need visibility of the impact across the whole industry, including timings of the transfer window, and the wider financial picture, before we can talk about a return to normality," Woodward said at a Fans' Forum meeting held last month.

Grealish has been having a fine season for Aston Villa but his efforts have gone for naught. He has so far collected seven goals and six assists in Premier League action, a reason why multiple teams have expressed interest in the English midfielder. Critics feel he is in a class of his own and best moves to a team with better chances of winning.

Among the people who spoke about Grealish include Hourihae who believes Grealish is too good for Aston Villa to keep in a podcast. Paul Ince is also impressed with the 24-year-old but holds some reservations on how he can fit in with the Red Devils.

"I’m just happy United are now in the market for these types of players again. But will they challenge next season? I’m still not sure," Ince said in a previous post.
