Jorge Luiz Frello Filho, best known to most as Jorginho, had a tough first season with Chelsea FC when he arrived before the 20118-19 season. It was a transition season for the Blues which also saw the coming of Maurizio Sarri. Jorginho was a vital addition since he was seen as someone who fits in perfectly with Sarri's system.

The change will always draw criticism. Jorginho was tasked to hold up the midfield, displacing N'Golo Kante in the process. As expected, the move drew the ire of fans - particularly Jorginho. The 28-year-old footballer knows that maiden season all too well and even revealed how he considered leaving Stamford Bridge right in his very first season, FourFourTwo reported.

“Last year, fans were picking on me a lot because I’d arrived with another manager, and, in my opinion, I ended up hearing some things that were honestly unfair,” Jorginho said.

Regardless of the vicious comments hurled at him, Jorginho never let it get to him. Instead, he used this as a source of power to prove his detractors wrong. He is used to that kind of situation but admits it was not an easy task. Regardless, the Brazilian has now become a valuable part of the Blues and fit in with the system of Frank Lampard. Sarri left after one season but the change in coach hardly affected the performance of prized midfielder.

“I’ve gone through moments like this at every club I’ve played for – this low moment when doubt can come and make you wonder, 'Should I just leave this place? Maybe there isn’t room for me here'," Jorginho said.

Now, Jorginho feels pretty much at home with Lampard making sure that he is aware that his role is important. That backing he got from his new coach means a lot, something he admits not every coach would do.

“I thank him for the sincerity he showed towards me in public. He didn’t have to do that, and not every manager does it. He’s a legend inside the club, so people listen to what he says,” Jorginho said.

In a previous post, rumors were flying that Jorginho could move to Juventus and reunite with Sarri. All those were shot down by his agent, Joao Santos, claiming that he did not know any deal involving Jorginho who has three years left in his current deal.
