  • Arkadiusz Milik will leave Napoli this summer
  • Victor Osimhen is being eyed to replace Milik
  • Milik wants a change of scenery and hopes to join a new team

Arkadiusz Milik is reportedly bent on leaving Napoli F.C., and it appears The Parthenopeans will not stand in his way. According to head coach Gennaro Gattuso, the 26-year-old striker wants a change of scenery and is eager to bring his talent elsewhere.

Milik's contract is set to expire at the end of the 2020-21 season, and the possibility of a contract extension is nowhere close to happening.

When asked about Milik, Gattuso admitted in an interview with Sky Sports Italia that it would be hard to replace someone like him. But seeing as how the Polish player is determined to move out and wants a change of scenery, he and the club would have to respect his wishes.

"You can't try to keep someone against their will, or it's difficult to get them to listen or have the right mentality. You have to respect the wishes of the player," Gattuso said.

The Polish football player has reportedly been interested in several teams. These include Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Tottenham.

Milik has scored 37 goals in total since arriving from Ajax back in 2016.

With Milik imminently gone, all Gattuso can do for now is look ahead and find someone who can fill in the void. The Napoli manager admitted that it would be tough to replace Milik, but it is something they have to deal with.

"It's difficult to find someone better than Milik," Gattuso said.

One player that Napoli is reportedly considering is Victor Osimhen of Lille. The 21-year-old has reportedly met with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis and Gattuso, but nothing has gone beyond that.

The Nigerian player has been performing well for Lille since arriving from Sporting Charleroi. This season, he has scored a total of 18 goals across all competitions.

"He's different, but I don't want to talk about that. If and when Osimhen joins, then I'll explain the changes," Gattuso said.

Having done so well this season, it comes as no surprise that multiple teams are after him. Among the clubs linked to him are Manchester United and Arsenal, Football Italia reported.

However, it appears Napoli has the inside track. There are reports from Italy that Napoli has agreed to a $58 million deal with the Nigerian.
