  • President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to support job creation

  • Unnecessary regulations that are impeding economic recovery will be removed

  • Trump also launched a new initiative to support farmers

President Donald Trump has signed an executive order after a recent cabinet meeting that will remove regulations that will “impede economic recovery.” The move is aimed at removing red tape for companies and facilitate job creation to speed up the economic recovery.

“We're fighting for the livelihoods of American workers, and we must continue to cut through every piece of red tape that stands in our way,” Trump said in a statement released by the White House after the cabinet meeting. Through the executive order, the President has empowered federal agencies to waive, suspend and eliminate “unnecessary regulations.”

Millions of Americans have lost their jobs because of the coronavirus lockdown. Trump hopes generate jobs by removing “burdens” on companies that are destroying jobs.

One of the ways jobs will get a boost is Trump’s determination to have supply chains back in America from countries like China. In another statement that the White House released online, the President said that the pandemic has shown everyone the importance of “economic independence,” which includes not having to depend on a foreign country for supply chains.

Trump pointed out that one of the reasons why he was elected was because he wanted to put America first and make the country great again. He explained that the situation right now is such that to build a car the parts have to come from “12 countries,” and this w now with all the parts manufactured in one country.

Trump also announced a $16 billion relief payment program for farmers. Previously, his daughter launched a $3 billion fund for the Farmers to Families Food Box program with Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue, which has now been expanded.

The Farmers to Families Food Box program allows USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service to buy fresh agriculture produce, dairy and meat products and supply them directly to families in need. The government will work with food suppliers like hotels and restaurants under this initiative to support people in industry whose jobs have been particularly at risk because of the pandemic.

While announcing the initiative to support American farmers, growers and ranchers, Trump promised the country will reopen soon. He also thanked farmers across the country for keeping people fed and nourished while everyone fights “the invisible enemy.”
