Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have been subjected to harsh criticisms ever since joining the royal fold.

The Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex have gained a lot of supporters and critics after becoming part of the royal family. They have been attacked by internet trolls and the press but between the two, Markle has it worse.

One netizen shared on Twitter snaps of different headlines involving Markle in stories about Prince Harry’s receding hairline and how it got worse after their royal wedding. The headlines made it seem as though Markle should be blamed for the Duke of Sussex’s baldness.

A number of netizens reacted to it and blamed racism. One netizen said that a woman of color like Markle would never have it easy.

“Nonsense ... this is just racist nonsense ...the British media is brutal,” Nosi_Jwara commented.

Another user described it as “ridiculous” and “crazy.” A different netizen found it “pathetic.”

Meanwhile, another netizen seemed to disagree that the issue was Markle’s race and pointed out that Middleton is actually getting the same harsh treatment.

“But they did this kind of ridiculous nit-picking to Kate Middleton. The British media is ruthless to those that appear comfortable in positions they feel these women should not be comfortable in,” Kiyara Matambanadzo commented.

Kudzai E. Kehle disagreed with Kiyara and shared two pictures of different headlines involving the two duchesses. One featured Markle being accused of ensuring that her baby bump is in the spotlight. The other photo showed Middleton getting praised while showing off her “gorgeous” royal baby bump.

Last month, Kensington Palace expressed concerns over the internet trolls targeting Middleton and Markle. A number of netizens also reacted because, for them, Middleton’s online abuse is not equal to what Markle’s been receiving. One Twitter user pointed out that it was “FALSE EQUIVALENCY!!

Another user named Rebecca agreed and insisted that “perfect girl” Middleton has never been abused by the “racist” British media. A different user said that there are more attacks against Markle compared to Middleton. The Duchess of Sussex has reportedly been abused left, right and center.
