Prince Charles’ gave a hilarious reaction following Prince William’s birth.

Royal fans are still waiting for the birth of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming baby. At the time, there are no updates about baby Sussex, so we revisit the Prince of Wales response when asked about Prince William’s look following Princess Diana’s delivery.

According to Katie Nicholl in her book “The Making of a Royal Romance,” Prince Charles was with Princess Diana throughout her labor. The future king offered words of comfort and sips of water to his wife to revive her as she had been “sick as a parrot.”

At one point, Prince Charles dozed off in an armchair, but he was there at Princess Diana’s side with her gynecologist George Pink and his team of nurses safely delivered their son. When the heir was content that Princess Diana was asleep he left her side to address the public.

According to Prince Charles, they were very proud after 30 hours they finally saw their baby. Then one royal reporter asked him if the baby looks like him.

“Does he look like you sir?” the reporter asked.

“No, he’s lucky enough not to,” Prince Charles joked before adding that he was relieved and delighted.

On the same book, Nicholl revealed Prince Charles’ reaction to Prince Harry’s birth, too. However, he didn’t sound as funny anymore.

“Oh, it’s a boy, and he’s event got rusty hair,” Prince Charles said.

The Prince of Wales felt that Princess Diana’s nine-hour labor was much better as it was quicker that time. After addressing the crowd he returned to the palace for a Martini.

Princess Diana found Prince Charles’ reaction to Prince Harry’s birth “crushing” because he reportedly preferred a girl. The late Princess of Wales knew all along that they were expecting another boy as she was aware of the early scan.

Princess Diana was devastated when after returning home to Kensington Palace with their newborn son Prince Harry, Prince Charles sped of his Aston Martin to play polo in Windsor Great Park.

Prince Harry’s birth triggered Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s rocky marriage. Andrew Morton’s biography “Diana: Her True Story” revealed that the People’s Princess considered Prince Harry “miracle” and “a complete joy,” so she was really hurt with Prince Charles’ reaction.
