Prince Charles' good friend revealed some personal details about the future king.

Joseph Cicio knows the Prince of Wales personally. According to him, they worked together for the royal's business, Duchy Originals, in 2005. He served as Prince Charles' merchandising and retail consultant for only a year, but their friendship lasted.

In fact, according to Cicio, Prince Charles doesn't hesitate to call him and write long, handwritten letters frequently. However, he has found them difficult to read. “Unfortunately they were very difficult to read since his handwriting was even worse than mine,” Cicio told Fox News.

Cicio has nothing but good words to say about the Prince of Wales. He praised the Duke of Cornwall's generosity and said he believes that the animosity against Prince Charles was only due to bad press. "He was very sincere, had a great sense of humor, was impeccably dressed and looked at you in the eye… That man has the worst press agent in the world. Because he’s nothing like I expected. He was divine," Cicio said about the future king.

"I was in awe at the little credit this man gets for the hundreds of millions of dollars that he raises and gives to areas in the world," he continued. "He builds schools, hospitals — and people don't know that. Any profit that came out of Duchy Original was put into the foundation. He wasn't banking it. He was giving it away to the world's needy. He's very generous and very sincere about his responsibility… And he possesses a sincere concern for the environment and for the world’s poor."

In related news, Lady Elizabeth Anson previously claimed that Prince Charles felt overshadowed by Princess Diana. There was a particular incident when the Prince of Wales reportedly felt that his wife has already upstaged him.

"[Diana] sort of metamorphosed into a very, very elegant blonde beauty. They did a visit to Wales which was the beginning of, for Prince Charles, realizing, 'They've come out to see my wife, they haven't come out to see me,'" Anson told People.

Princess Diana and Prince Charles had a rocky relationship. The late Princess of Wales was quoted saying that their marriage was a bit crowded because there were three of them. Princess Diana also suspected Prince Charles of plotting an automobile accident to kill her and marry Camilla Parker Bowles.
