Kate Middleton and Prince William’s kids are close to Mike and Zara Tindall’s children.

A few weeks back, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was photographed with the Tindalls. They attended the Burnham horse trials in Norfolk during the Easter holidays and the two families were obviously having a great time together.

Photos showed Middleton giving her daughter Princess Charlotte a piggyback ride, Prince William had his goddaughter Mia Tindall on his shoulders while Prince George perched on Mike’s shoulder.

The Tindall’s and the Cambridge’s children are forming a friendship and Mike is happy to see them enjoying each other’s company. He already expressed his hopes of finding their children share a close bond.

“It’s great” that a new generation of young royals are springing up, he told Hello! “They’re all quite close in age and hopefully they’ll grow up as good friends.”

Lena and Prince Louis are similar ages while Mia is between Princess Charlotte and Prince George’s age. Since the royal children are close in age, they can easily relate to each other and enjoy fun time together.

In a recent interview with the Telegraph, Mike opened up about the royal children and how they got along well. According to him, Prince Edward’s son James, Viscount Severn, is not exactly the ring leader, but he’s the oldest. He added that at the time, Prince Harry is busy, but the new dad loves to play with them all.

“Obviously, he’s godfather to Lena, but we’ve got a great group of young ones in the family now,” he added.

Mike also revealed that the royals have an affectionately bantering relationship. Just recently, Prince William made a joke following baby Archie’s arrival. The Duke of Cambridge welcomed Prince Harry into the “sleep deprivation society that is parenting” as most parents experience limited sleep after welcoming their bundle of joy.

Mike added that they are holding off further baby jokes for now and would let Prince Harry find out his own way. He said that they were lucky as their children have always slept, so he hoped that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will get that as well.
