Prince Harry dragged Prince William and Kate Middleton for his controversial Nazi costume in his upcoming book, "Spare," according to a report.

The Duke of Sussex revisited his controversial Nazi costume in his new book. He seemingly put the blame on his brother and sister-in-law.

In a segment of the book obtained by Page Six, Prince Harry revealed that he was down to two costumes — a pilot uniform and a Nazi uniform. Both Prince William and Middleton reportedly chose the latter for the party.

"I phoned Willy and Kate, asked what they thought. Nazi uniform, they said," Prince Harry wrote. "They both howled. Worse than Willy's leotard outfit! Way more ridiculous! Which, again, was the point."

Royal historian Robert Lacey claimed in his 2020 book "Battle of Brothers" that the incident sparked the feud between King Charles' sons. The book was serialized in the Daily Mail, where Lacey discussed the Prince of Wales's role in his younger brother's outfit at the costume party.

"Harry chose his costume in conjunction with his elder brother," Lacey wrote of "the future King William V," who "laughed all the way back to Highgrove with the younger sibling he was supposed to be mentoring."

"The young prince began re-evaluating his elder brother's involvement and the unfairness of William's subsequent emergence smelling of roses," he continued. "It made Harry feel resentful and even alienated."

Lacey claimed Prince William coaxed Prince Harry into his "errant and self-destructive ways." The Duke of Sussex was reportedly unhappy with how his brother easily got away with the controversy that burned him.

"For the first time, their relationship really suffered, and they barely spoke," Lacey added. "Harry resented the fact that William got away so lightly."

Prince Harry received intense backlash after photos of him wearing the Nazi uniform made headlines. Many called him racist due to his costume. Meghan Markle's husband addressed the controversy in their Netflix documentary "Harry & Meghan," which premiered last month.

"It was one of the biggest mistakes of my life," Prince Harry said about the controversy, Vanity Fair reported. "I felt so ashamed afterward. All I wanted to do was make it right. I sat down and spoke to the chief rabbi in London, which had a profound effect on me. I went to Berlin and spoke to a Holocaust survivor. I could have just ignored it and made the same mistakes over again in my life. But I learned from that."

Prince Harry's book "Spare" will hit shelves on Jan. 10.
