Prince Harry earned a unique moniker when he was still staying in a boarding school.

When Prince Harry was still a kid, Prince Charles and Princess Diana would often describe him as the quieter of their two young sons. However, the Duke of Sussex became more mischievous when he attended boarding school, Ludgrove.

In Katie Nicholl’s book “William and Harry” that covered the two princes’ younger years, the royal author shared why Prince Harry was dubbed “troublesome clown.”

“The troublesome streak that would later see him crowned the rebel of the family began to emerge,” Nicholl explained.

“While William had grown out of childish pranks and immersed himself in his studies, Harry earned a reputation for being the class clown.”

Nicholl added that the prince egged on some schoolmates to moon the photographers, who had gathered when the Prince and Princess of Wales visited him. A pal claimed that Prince Harry didn’t actually force his schoolmates, he just dared them and they did it. The source added that Prince Harry was aware of the photographers’ presence and he didn’t like it.

Prince Harry’s disdian for photographers continued following his mom Princess Diana’s death. At one point he even blamed them for the late royal’s accident.

In 2017, Prince Harry told the BBC that the hardest thing to accept was the fact that the paparazzi who chased Princess Diana into the tunnel were the same people who took photographs of her while she was dying in the back seat of the car. The Duke of Sussex stressed that his mom was still very much alive back then and the people who caused the accident just took photos of her.

Nevertheless, Prince Harry has definitely moved on. At present, he is the most popular royal. According to the YouGov’s survey, 77 percent of the British public consider themselves a fan of Prince Harry. The research concluded that Prince Harry is the nation’s favorite royal.

According to Majesty Magazine editor Ingrid Seward, Prince Harry has three personas that the people really love. He is a sensitive little boy, a fighting man and an idiot. These characteristics make him more relatable to the people.
