Prince Harry has been leading secret meetings to launch a special project that has links to Princess Diana.

The Duke of Sussex recently met up with co-producer Oprah Winfrey to design a new documentary series inspired by his mental health following the shocking demise of the Princess of Wales.

Winfrey and her crew flew to London to meet up with Prince Harry in preparation for the new project that will be released on television in the coming months. Following the announcement, Winfrey shared more details about the help that Prince Harry received to cope with the death of his mother.

While speaking with CBS News, Winfrey revealed that she asked Prince Harry what he thinks are the most important issues facing the world at the moment, and the soon-to-be-dad said that there are two: climate and mental wellness or mental fitness.

“He has spoken about his own issue and what he went through after his mother died and how being able to talk about it has benefitted him. We’re doing a multi-part docu-series on mental health and the spectrum… Harry is co-creating this with me and he is executive producing this with me,” she said.

Meanwhile, Winfrey also said that she’s already met up with Prince Harry multiple times to talk about their upcoming joint project. The former talk show host also said that she and Prince Harry hope that their project would have an impact on how mental health is discussed in mainstream media so that those who are suffering from psychological struggle would know that they are not alone.

“Our hope is that it will have a big impact on reducing the stigma and allowing people to know they’re not alone. Allowing people to speak up about it and being able to identify it for themselves and their friends,” Winfrey said.

Prince Harry was just 12 years old when his mom died. Years later, he said that his mom’s sudden passing had quite a serious effect on him.
