Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's aides are leaving them one by one.

According to James Bickerton, a journalist for Express, three of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's staff members have quit within just six months. The three individuals who left their royal jobs include Edward Lane Fox, Samantha Cohen, the couple's private secretary who filled in Fox's position, and a personal assistant named Melissa whose surname is not available.

Melissa is reportedly "a hugely talented person" who played a big role in the couple's relationship and nuptials. "She played a pivotal role in the success of the Royal Wedding and will be missed by everyone in the Royal Household," a royal insider said.

On the other hand, royal officials were shocked by her decision. "A real shock, why would she want to leave such a prestigious job so soon?" a source said.

Meanwhile, another seemed to imply that there may be something wrong with how the couple treat their staff. "To lose one member of the household could happen to anyone," the insider said. "To lose three in a few months is starting to look like a stampede."

According to Hello!, although the reason for Melissa's resignation is unknown, it is likely due to the hectic nature of the job. Melissa's role includes helping the Duke and Duchess of Sussex organize their schedule and travel arrangements and manage their correspondence.

The job advertisement for Melissa's post read: "You'll also assist with the organisation of the official programme, providing logistical support in the planning and execution of engagements, attending recces and skillfully supporting official visits. It's a fast paced and high-profile environment, and you'll have responsibility from day one. Yet you'll rise to the challenge and will be proud of the part you play."

In related news, Queen Elizabeth II reportedly warned Prince Harry about Markle's attitude and behavior even before they tied the knot. Her Majesty reportedly intervened after a tense negotiation on what tiara Markle would wear on her big day.

According to Robert Jobson's new book, Prince Harry told the staff that "What Meghan wants, Meghan gets." The duke was reportedly furious when his then wife-to-be couldn't get the tiara she desired.

The incident prompted the monarch to speak to her grandson and told him that "Meghan cannot have whatever she wants. She gets what tiara she's given by me."

"The message from the Queen was very much Meghan needed to think about how she speaks to staff members and be careful to follow family protocols," the source added.
