Prince Harry took an economy flight in his recent engagement.

According to The Sun, the Duke of Sussex flew premium economy to Tokyo. He was photographed on the plane both his outbound and return flights with Nippon Airways between Tokyo Haneda Airport and London Heathrow.

Prince Harry’s choice of taking a commercial flight captured the attention of many netizens and royal followers because it happened months after he and his wife Meghan Markle were criticized for taking four private flights in 11 days. The duke explained earlier that he took commercial flights 90 percent of the time and he only opted to take a private jet during those times to secure his wife and son.

While Prince Harry and Markle were in hot water for their private jet fiasco, Prince William and Middleton were photographed taking a commercial flight to Scotland to join the Queen last summer. Many deemed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s move a dig to the Sussexes. Some felt that by doing so, Prince William and Middleton only worsened the issue against Prince Harry and Markle.

“I think it’s really bad of his brother to go on the commercial flight so close after he did the private jet. I wouldn’t have done that to my sister. I do feel sorry for them because everything they are going to do, they are going to get slated and hounded,” TV personality Nicola McLean said after seeing the Cambridges’ photos.

Meanwhile, when Markle flew to New York to support her friend Serena Williams for the U.S. Open finals, the duchess reportedly took a commercial flight but unlike Prince William and Middleton, there were no photographs of Markle boarding the plane. The netizen called the future king and queen “attention seekers” and alleged that they contacted the press about their flight, so they would be photographed.

“It’s funny how Meghan flew commercial to New York to watch Serena’s match, yet we NEVER saw a pic of her boarding the flight. But the Cambridges just so happened to basically have a photoshoot when they boarded their commercial flight. Who’s the attention-seeker here??” the netizen wrote.

Markle’s husband Prince Harry was just being photographed taking a commercial flight like Middleton and Prince William. Many called Prince Harry hypocrite because despite his claim that he was traumatized with cameras, he seemed to be at ease when there are cameras around.
