Prince Harry received praise for a particular habit that annoys his wife, Meghan Markle.

A few days back, panelist Adrienne Bailon revealed that the Duke of Sussex has a habit of turning off the lights at home and it’s getting on Markle’s nerves. Prince Harry picked up this energy-saving habit from his environmentalist dad, Prince Charles.

Markle reportedly didn’t like this habit because she “hates the dark.” However, TV host Jeannie Mai praised Prince Harry because it’s the “right thing to do“ even if it upsets his wife.

“For some reason I kind of like that about him. We know that he is wealthy and we know that he could fuel their house with power as much as he wants,” Mai said on “The Real.”

“But the fact that he is conservative about it makes me like him even more,” she said, adding that she respects people who “don’t want to waste.“

Prince Harry’s conservation habit was also shown in the documentary “Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70.” The soon-to-be dad revealed that Markle would ask him, “Why turn the lights off?” and he would tell her that they only need one light and not six.

Just like Prince Harry, the pregnant royal is pro-environment, she just can’t stand the dark. When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot in May 2018, they asked the public to not send them gifts but support their chosen charities instead.

Two of the seven charities that Prince Harry and Markle selected focus on environment and conservation. Surfers Against Sewage is dedicated to inspire, unite and empower communities to protect ocean, beaches, waves and wildlife. On the other hand, The Wilderness Foundation UK aims to transform vulnerable lives and empower people to conserve nature.

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle was stopped by Kensington Palace from overshadowing Kate Middleton. The Duchess of Sussex designed an African garden for charity Camfed, but the staff of the charity were told not to use Prince Harry’s photo in promoting the garden because the Duchess of Cambridge was also co-designing an English garden.

Middleton’s garden was already announced a few months back. The royal mom of three’s woodland wilderness garden is for the Chelsea Flower Show.
