  • Cressida Bonas is already married to Harry Wentworth-Stanley
  • Bonas and Wentworth-Stanley had a small wedding ceremony
  • Bonas dated Prince Harry from 2011 to 2014 and many thought they would get married

Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas is officially off the market after tying the knot with Harry Wentworth-Stanley in a small wedding ceremony.

Bonas' stepbrother Jacobi Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe reportedly posted a photo in his private Instagram Stories of Bonas and her husband riding horses with the label "Mr. & Mrs," Us Weekly reported. Prior to dating Wentworth-Stanley, Bonas famously dated Prince Harry for over two years. They were together from 2011 to 2014.

Bonas announced her engagement to Wentworth-Stanley in August 2019 via Instagram. She kept the announcement short by writing, "We getting married."

Bonas and Wentworth-Stanley tied the knot at Cowdray Park in Midhurst, West Sussex. They had a very small wedding ceremony with only 30 guests consisting of their closest family members and friends, according to sources.

When Prince Harry married Meghan Markle in May 2018, the duke's exes, Bonas and Chelsy Davy, were invited and they attended the ceremony. Bonas confessed on her blog that it was tricky to dress up for weddings after attending Prince Harry and Markle's big day.

"Friends are starting to get married, which means the dilemma of British wedding attire. Hats," Bonas wrote. "Why do I find hats so tricky? Tricky to wear, tricky to look at, and extremely tricky for the poor soul sitting in the pew behind. Most of the time I avoid headgear. This can prompt disapproving looks from the older generations.”

"Last weekend I attended the royal wedding. The invitation clearly stated that guests must wear hats. Yikes. I opted for a minimal feathered number — and can only hope I got it right," she continued.

Before Prince Harry met Markle, many were rooting for Bonas to be his royal bride. She has a good relationship with the other members of the royal family. In fact, she is best friends with Prince William and Prince Harry's cousin Princess Eugenie.

However, she didn't like the excessive attention from the press. According to royal correspondent and author Katie Nicholl, she broke Prince Harry's heart when she decided to end their relationship.

“He was in love with her and he tried to convince her they could make it work, but Cressida’s mind was made up,” Nicholl wrote in “Harry: Life, Loss and Love.”

“She called the relationship off because she knew in her heart this wasn’t what she wanted. Harry suffered a real blow when she said, ‘I can’t do this’. I think she really broke his heart.”
