Prince Philip was reportedly rushed to King Edward VII Hospital to seek treatment for a pre-existing condition.

Buckingham Palace confirmed the news via an official statement. They revealed that the Duke of Edinburgh’s doctor advised him to seek treatment as a precautionary measure. And as such, the dad of four will be staying at the hospital for a few days.

Since he is already 98 years old and will recover longer than usual, Prince Philip won’t be joining the Queen on the train to Sandringham on Christmas Day. The Duke has not been making such appearances ever since he retired from his royal duties in 2017.

Prince Philip has also been staying in Sandringham for the past couple of months. And in September, a source told The Sun that the retired royal suffered a bit of a wobble. At that time, concerns over Prince Philip's health heightened.

Meanwhile, psychic Betsey Lewis predicted that something tragic will happen to the royal family before the year ends. On her website, she said that Prince Philip could pass away before 2020.

Since there are still 10 more days before 2019 comes to an end, Lewis’ prediction could sadly come true. And the report about Prince Philip being rushed to the hospital has really caused royal fans to worry.

One of the last times that Prince Philip was spotted in public was in May when he attended the wedding of Lady Gabriella Windsor in May. Around the same time, a photo of the Duke of Edinburgh meeting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son, Archie, for the first time was released.

Prince Philip was also able to attend the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s royal wedding last year. And he was also present at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s nuptials in October 2018.

Every now and then, Prince Philip is also photographed riding his horses in Windsor. However, this has not happened within the past couple of months.
