Prince William and Kate Middleton have been married for almost nine years, and it seems that their relationship is only getting stronger.

While speaking with OK! magazine, royal expert Ingrid Seward said that Queen Elizabeth must be grateful for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for not splitting after all these years.

“I think the Queen feels it’s all too easy to get divorced now… She used to say, ‘Just wait two years and see if you can make it work.’ Thankfully, she has William and Kate. If she doesn’t have them, I think she might say to herself, ‘Goodness, after over 70 years on the throne, it’s come to nothing,’” Seward said.

Last week, the royal family was plagued with another controversy after Peter Phillips and Autumn Phillips announced their decision to end their marriage. According to Seward, it is possible that the Queen tried to encourage the royal couple to work things out.

“She’s sad but she’s also quite pragmatic and she wouldn’t have survived this long if she wasn’t,” Seward said.

Earlier this week, People reported that the Queen’s nephew, David Armstrong-Jones has also decided to end his marriage to his wife Serena. The couple was married for 25 years.

And earlier this week, rumors swirled that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have also divorced. New Idea claimed that the palace confirmed the shocking news leaving the Queen to worry.

An unnamed source told the tabloid that the Queen is very serious about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s relationship and their recent divorce announcement puts a lot of pressure on them to stay together.

Her Majesty also encouraged the royal couple to work on their marriage in Canada and to put each other first because the monarchy could no longer handle more drama.

However, the reports about Prince Harry and Markle’s divorce have been confirmed to be false. The royal couple is still besotted with each other.
