Prince William and Kate Middleton are rumored to be fuming at Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Camilla Parker Bowles. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are not pleased with Her Majesty’s shocking U-turn on her choice for successor.

The heir to the throne, Prince Charles, is set to succeed the monarch. But polls revealed that Britons prefer Prince William to leapfrog his father to the throne. Since the Queen has been preparing her grandson for the important role, the dad of three thought that he was in the running to be the Queen’s successor.

But an unnamed source told New Idea that it seems Her Majesty had a sudden change of heart. Instead of handing over the throne to Prince William, she has decided to give it to Prince Charles.

The Queen surprised everyone when she arrived at the State Opening of Parliament with Prince Charles and Camilla in tow. It was the second time that Prince Charles accompanied his mom to the event since 2017 after Prince Philip retired from his royal duties. But it was the first time that Camilla joined her husband and the Queen at the important event.

A source said that the Queen’s decision to seat her eldest child and daughter-in-law close to her was purposeful and thought-out. It was also the clearest indication that Her Majesty might be abdicating so that she could hand over the throne to the Prince of Wales.

“Palace aides confirm that it signals she will make them king and queen imminently and is preparing them for the roles. The move has shocked and ruffled a lot of feathers with the family – not least Kate and William who’d been tipped to take over the monarchy,” the source said.

But it is important to note that news about the Queen’s abdication or retirement will only come from Buckingham Palace. Everything else should be taken with a grain of salt.
