Prince William and Kate Middleton have been married for eight years. The royal couple has also been blessed with three healthy and smart children.

But at the beginning of their relationship, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were also heavily criticized by the press. However, royal fans are convinced that what they went through years ago was nothing compared to what Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are experiencing right now.

On the online forum site Quora, royal fans are wondering whether or not the second in line to the throne is thanking his lucky stars that he met someone like his wife and not like Markle. This way, he ended up marrying the Duchess of Cambridge and not the Duchess of Sussex.

Royal fan Claire Chase said that Prince William knew from the get-go that Middleton was a catch that’s why he pursued her. The royal fan said that she doesn’t think the future King would be attracted to someone like Markle just because she is not his type.

“So yes, I think Will appreciates Kate. I hope the rest of the royal family gives her the accolades she deserves. I adore her. She's a lady. That is a wonderful thing in the current times. If they attend separate events, Will can be sure Kate will look impeccable and carry herself beautifully. Will can relax knowing there will no drama, no controversy, no tears,” she said.

Royal fan Julie Black said a similar thing. According to her, Markle is no comparison to Middleton because they are not on the same level.

Kate supports her husband, doesn’t push herself forward, and is a credit to the royal family. I’ve always liked her. No complaining, no histrionics, just a classy, dignified lady along with Princess Anne and Sophie Wessex to name but a few!” she said.

Prince Harry and Markle have only been married for over a year. And there are predictions that their relationship won’t last.
