Prince Harry recently revealed that he and his older brother, Prince William, are on different paths. And royal fans couldn’t help but wonder if the royal siblings’ differences have something to do with Meghan Markle.

On the online forum site Quora, the majority of the royal fans said that the Duchess of Sussex cannot be the main reason why the Duke of Sussex and the Duke of Cambridge are on different paths. Since Prince Harry is his own person, he and his brother could have issues that are just between the two of them.

Eileen Wood, a self-employed individual, said that if Markle will be accused of causing Prince Harry and Prince William’s differences then Princess Diana should also be accused of causing a division between Prince Charles and Prince Andrew.

When the Prince of Wales and the Duke of York were much younger, they also told the public that they were on different paths. And this was mainly because their future roles in the British monarchy are different.

Prince Charles will become King one day, while Prince Andrew will never sit on the throne. Prince William and Prince Harry’s paths are also different because their future roles are also different.

“Of course not. Prince Charles’ path was set for him from the moment he was born. William’s path has been set for him since the moment he was born. Harry has to make his own path. That’s the destiny of ‘the spare,’” Wood said.

Royal fan Irene Ambrose said that Prince William and Prince Harry may be siblings but they clearly have very different interests and career paths. Their wives and children, and the future roles of their wives and children are also very different.

Sue McCune Martin, a reader, and an observer of the British royal family said that Markle is only part of the reason why Prince Harry and Prince William are on different paths.

“Meghan is part of the change to the extent she is part of his life as his wife and the mother of his child. I think the presence of a wife and child may have started Harry to think about exactly where his life is going,” she said.
