Prince William and Prince Harry prepared a naughty surprise for Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles on their wedding day.

Amazon Prime documentary “The Queen's Diamond Decades” revisited the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall’s nuptials back in 2005. According to the narrator, Patricia Hodge, it was a “different sort of royal wedding.”

Prince Charles and Camilla’s wedding was not as grand as his first ceremony with the late Princess Diana. But his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, put in some effort to make the groom and bride feel extra special.

“Prince William and Prince Harry welcomed their stepmother into the family,” Hodge said. “Having decorated their car in style, the young prince gave the newlyweds a send-off to remember as they departed for their honeymoon.”

The Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex tied red, white and blue balloons to the vehicle. They also decorated it with “Just married,” “C + C,” heart symbols and smiley faces.

Prince Harry also made cheeky faces into the window of the Bentley as he shouted, “Thanks for coming!”

William Shawcross, Prince Charles and Camilla’s friend, said that Prince William and Prince Harry “were milling around the crowd, extremely cheerful, looking naughty and having fun decorating that car.”

Prince Harry said in a past interview that Camilla is not a wicked stepmom like what most seemed to believe. Instead, the soon-to-be dad described the duchess as a “wonderful woman.” He also recognized how Camilla makes their father Prince Charles happy, before adding that he and Prince William “love her to bits.”

Prince Harry also asked everyone not to feel sorry for him and William but instead to sympathize with Camilla, who had been heavily criticized due to her affair with the future king. Princess Diana once said in a past interview that her relationship with Prince Charles didn’t work because “there were three of us in this marriage.”

In 2011, Prince Harry prepared a similar surprise for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on their royal wedding. Katie Nicholl claimed in her 2017 biography, “Harry: Life, Loss, and Love,” that Prince William’s brother prepared a send-off for the newlyweds to Clarence House in their father’s beloved open-topped Aston Martin Volante.

Meghan Markle’s husband decorated it with balloons, red white and blue streamers and a “JUST WED” number plate. Prince William and Kate Middleton were shocked but delighted over Prince Harry’s wedding surprise for them.
