  • Princess Anne will perform some royal duties in Canada in May

Princess Anne could reportedly be Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first royal visitor in Canada.

According to Hello! magazine, Princess Anne’s duties in her role as Commodore-in-Chief of the Royal Canadian Navy requires her to travel to North America from May 1 to 3 to attend a series of royal engagements.

Express claimed that since Princess Royal will already be in Canada, it is only logical for her to drop the Duke and Duchess of Sussex a visit at their home. Prince Harry and Markle have been living in Canada since January when they announced their bombshell exit from the royal family.

Princess Anne has traveled to Canada several times in the past. In 2014, she flew to North America with her husband to attend the Remembrance Day celebrations in Ottawa.

Meanwhile, it is also possible for Princess Anne to skip visiting Prince Harry and Markle. After all, she was recently accused of firing a jibe at housewives after the “Suits” alum shared her message to women of the future.

To celebrate International Women’s Day this week, Markle gave a speech on female empowerment to women of the future. In 1973, Princess Anne fired back after she was subjected to sexist and patronizing questions.

At that time, Princess Anne was asked if she thinks she will make a good housewife and if she can cook. Queen Elizabeth’s only daughter said that she’s done a bit of cooking.

When the interviewer asked her if she would be open to cooking Captain Phillips breakfast before she goes to work, Princess Anne said that it’s easy and she can manage it. After all, her husband only enjoys a cup of coffee for breakfast.

But after the interviewer asked Princess Anne if she could sew, the royal suddenly finally felt furious.

“Yes, I’m not totally useless! I was quite well-educated one way or another,” Princess Anne fired back.
