  • Royal expert Phil Dampier thinks that Princess Beatrice's wedding won't push through on May 29

Princess Beatrice’s royal wedding will most likely be postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Following the announcement, royal author Phil Dampier told New Idea that he thinks Princess Beatrice must feel that her royal wedding is cursed.

“First she had to delay it because of her father Prince Andrew being involved in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. She was never going to be able to have a big all-singing event like Eugenie because the public wouldn’t have stomached the cost. She and Edo then struggled to find a venue and they couldn’t hold it in Italy as they wanted to because the Queen and Prince Philip couldn't have made it due to their age,” Dampier said.

After the couple settled on St. James’s Palace for their wedding venue and Buckingham Palace for their reception venue, Princess Beatrice decided that she was going to use marquees. But the postponement of her wedding, all of her plans would have already been canceled.

"So, it wouldn’t surprise me if Bea’s wedding has to be postponed until next year. Certainly, the Queen and Philip would be taking a risk by going to a gathering of two or three hundred people. It just doesn’t bear thinking about. Edo has already tweeted about his concerns for old people and how shops should open just for them to get food and supplies. He is wealthy but clearly a caring person and he and Bea will want to do what’s best for society in general and the family,” Dampier said.

The royal expert went on to say that Princess Beatrice and Mozzi have been incredibly unlucky but everyone is forced to make sacrifices amid the pandemic and they are no exception. The situation is also changing by the minute and Dampier said that he would be surprised if the nuptials pushes through on May 29.

As of late, Princess Beatrice and Mozzi have yet to announce the possible changes in their wedding.
