It's been 15 long years since Anne Hathaway graced screens as Mia Thermopolis, the shy teenager turned Princess of Genovia, in "The Princess Diaries 2," but don't worry because her comeback is in apparently in the works -- whether her co-stars know it or not.

While appearing as a guest on "Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen" on Thursday, a fan asked cast member Julie Andrews, a.k.a. Mia's grandmother in the film, if she could provide an update on a potential "Princess Diaries 3" movie, and her response was quite a surprise.

"Well, the truth is I haven’t heard," Andrews revealed. "But there’s been talk about it for quite a while. I think she [Hathaway] had or is having a second child, and she’s busy, and I’ve been busy."

The 84-year-old actress continued, saying, "I think if it happens it would be lovely, and if it doesn’t, I wouldn’t have known about it."

Andrews may not have been looped in on the current status of a third installment but Hathaway confirmed some exciting news when she appeared on "WWHL" earlier this year in January.

"There is a script," the 36-year-old said. "We all really want it to happen, it's just we don't want to do it unless it's perfect."

She added, "We don't want to deliver anything until it's ready but we're working on it."

While "The Princess Diaries 3" is being molded into perfection, Hathaway has been keeping busy with other projects like "Modern Love." The Amazon Prime Video series based on the New York Times' column that explores relationships, love and the human connection was released on the platform on Oct. 18 and has already been renewed for Season 2.
