Princess Eugenie leaked sensitive information on social media.

On Thursday, the palace confirmed Princess Beatrice’s engagement to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. However, prior to the palace’s confirmation, Princess Eugenie already leaked the private information on Instagram.

According to Express, Princess Beatrice’s younger sister shared a snap of them on Instagram congratulating her and her fiancé. Princess Eugenie was obviously delighted with her sister’s engagement.

“Beabea - wow! I’m so happy for you my dearest big sissy and dear Edo. It’s been a long time coming and you two are meant to be. (camera emoji) by me!!” Princess Eugenie wrote in the caption.

However, sensing that there was no official announcement about Princess Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzi’s engagement yet, Princess Eugenie immediately deleted her post. Shortly after her post was taken down, Buckingham Palace confirmed the royal engagement on Instagram.

The royal family shared two intimate photos of Princess Beatrice and Mozzi to announce their engagement. In the snaps, the couple looks so in love and Princess Beatrice is blooming in her floral dress.

“The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Princess Beatrice to Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi,” the caption read.

Buckingham Palace added that Princess Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzi got engaged in Italy earlier this month. Their royal wedding is scheduled in 2020. The palace also confirmed that the adorable photos were taken by Princess Eugenie.

Prior to the palace’s confirmation about Princess Beatrice’s engagement, there were speculations that she was already engaged to Mapelli Mozzi. There were also rumors claiming that the couple would elope and get married in Italy.

An insider said that Princess Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzi have already sent “save the dates” to their close friends and family to let them know of their wedding plans, so they could start arranging their flights ahead of the big day.

Another insider claimed that Princess Beatrice was considering to snub Prince Andrew by not inviting him to her big day due to the scandal involving the Duke of York. Prince Andrew is in hot water for his connections to Jeffrey Epstein and the royal bride reportedly doesn’t want any drama on her wedding day.
