A new report recently surfaced online claiming that a PS5 exclusive title is now in a playable state. The game is the long-rumored soft reboot of the “Silent Hill” franchise. A demo of the said PS5 exclusive title is coming during the official PS5 console reveal.

The latest information about the soft reboot of “Silent Hill” comes from horror games tipster AestheticGamer. On Twitter, the reputable leaker said that the upcoming PS5 exclusive title is in development at Japan Studio. The gaming studio is responsible for titles like “Astro Bot: Rescue Mission” and “Gravity Rush.”

The horror games tipster revealed that Akira Yaomoka handles the composing aspect of the game. Masahiro Ito takes charge of the game’s art, while Keiichiro Toyama spearheads the directing. AestheticGamer also claimed that the PS5 exclusive title “Silent Hill” is not a remake but a soft reboot to make sure that it could serve as the gamer’s first “Silent Hill” game.

Sony has yet to confirm the existence of a new “Silent Hill” title but it looks like Konami is doing something about the horror franchise. In Apr 2020, manga artist Suehiro Maruo hinted something which could be related to the popular series. While Konami discussed and acknowledged the rumors related to the game, it also confirmed that no new game is in the works.

Rumors have it that the official PS5 console reveal is happening in just a few weeks. If the soft reboot of “Silent Hill” is indeed in the works, the industry would hear more about days in the coming days. Releasing the popular horror title could allow the game developer to revive the survival of the horror series.

This is one of the few claims that the gaming industry has heard in regards to a PS5 exclusive title. Over the past weeks, reports about third-party efforts made rounds online. The Japanese gaming giant has not said anything about the PS5 exclusive title and, until now, is still silent about other upcoming next generation gaming console exclusive games.

Meanwhile, the Japanese gaming giant is preparing for the arrival of “Ghosts of Tsushima” and “The Last of Us 2.” Both titles are releasing in a few months and launch as exclusive titles for Sony’s current generation gaming console.
