  • PSG are confident of signing Dele Alli on loan this summer market
  • Inter Milan are also interested in signing England's Alli
  • Alli has scored 62 goals in 223 matches for Spurs

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are reportedly confident in completing a season-long loan for English midfielder Dele Alli, who is tipped to leave Tottenham Hotspur after reportedly falling out of favor with boss Jose Mourinho.

It confirmed Alli did not feature in Mourinho’s plans after the 24-year-old was omitted from Spurs’ matchday squad in two out of their opening three games of the 2020-21 campaign. Spurs kickstarted the Premier League with a 1-0 loss to Everton before the team bounced back with a 5-2 victory over Southampton Sunday.

The Telegraph has reported PSG firmly believe that Alli is keen on moving to France and the Ligue 1 club can seal a loan deal for the player before the transfer market’s deadline day of Oct. 5. The two clubs have a positive transfer history with PSG having sold Lucas Moura, 28, and Serge Aurier, 27, to Spurs in recent years.

It is understood that Spurs are not interested in letting Alli go to a Premier League rival at the ongoing summer market. Alli, who has scored 62 goals for Spurs so far since his arrival in 2015, has attracted interest even from Italy as Antonio Conte's Inter Milan are planning to join PSG in the race to sign Alli, who moved from English club MK Dons to Spurs for a mere $6 million in 2015.

Spurs' boss Mourinho even confirmed Alli’s possible departure in the post-match interview after their win over Southampton. "I'm not responsible for the market. The same way a squad is a puzzle and in the same way, so is the bench. I cannot have three wingers and a No 10 and then no defender."

Meanwhile, former Spurs striker Darren Bent has urged Alli to join Neymar and Kylian Mbappe at PSG.

"It would be superb for him. We know the French league is not as competitive as the Premier League. But when you go and play with players like Mbappe, Neymar, [Marco] Verratti, it’s automatically going to lift his levels and make him a better player. A change of scenery could do him the world of good and go to that club, he’d be fantastic there,”"
