  • Pumpkin Shannon officially introduced her twins in an exclusive interview
  • The reality star also shared the first photos of the fraternal twins, Sylus and Stella
  • She predicted that their family life would be “a little more hectic” moving forward

After months of staying away from social media, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon has finally broken her silence on rumors that she has given birth and introduced her new bundles of joy.

The 22-year-old “Mama June: Road to Redemption” star opened up about what it was like welcoming twin babies, a boy and a girl, with her 25-year-old husband Josh Efird in an exclusive interview with The Sun published Monday.

“The family is really happy,” Pumpkin said. “Things have been stressful adjusting to three babies under 1 year old and just five kids in general, but it’s nothing me and Josh can’t handle.”

The reality star predicted that their family life would be “a little more hectic” moving forward but added that she believes it would be “so worth it in the end.”

Pumpkin also shared the first photos of her newborn kids with the tabloid. One of them showed the fraternal twins lying on the bed side by side, sporting adorable onesies.

The couple named their baby boy Sylus Ray Efird and his twin sister Stella Renae Efird. According to the mom of four, Sylus weighed 5 pounds and 4 ounces at birth, while Stella weighed 6 pounds and 1 ounce. The baby boy was also born one minute later than the girl.

Pumpkin said that only Josh was allowed in the delivery room when she gave birth to their twins via cesarean section on May 19 at a Georgia hospital. After the kids’ birth, Josh’s parents and grandmother were the first to visit them at the hospital. There was no mention if Pumpkin’s mom, Mama June Shannon, also paid a visit.

Just a day before the interview got published, Pumpkin showed off her younger sister Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson’s close bond with Josh, who has become a father figure to the teen.

In one of the photos Pumpkin posted on her Instagram for Father’s Day, Alana was seen getting a tight hug from her sister as they lay on the bed. On the other side of the frame was Josh also giving a warm hug to Alana.

As previously reported, Mama June lost custody of Alana to Pumpkin after abandoning her children in 2019. Earlier this month, a judge granted Pumpkin sole custody of her younger sister and ordered Mama June to pay $800 monthly in child support until 16-year-old Alana turns 18.

Pumpkin and Josh are also parents to daughter Ella Grace, 4, and son Bentley Jameson, who is turning 1 on Tuesday.
