Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles could give a “priceless gift” to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby.

According to Diane Clehane, author of “Imagining Diana,” the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bundle of joy could mark a dramatic departure from the royal’s standard operating procedure. An insider told the royal biographer that Queen Elizabeth II is very close to Prince Harry and admires the way Markle embraced her royal life. So, Her Majesty could be “bestowing the new royal baby with a title” and this is said to be “a very explicit sign of her support and affection.”

Queen Elizabeth II has already done this before. In 2012, the monarch issued a Letters Patent declaring that all of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children would be referred to as prince or princess.

Queen Elizabeth II’s decision overturned the 1917 decree issued by the Queen’s grandfather, King George VI, that stated that the Prince of Wales’ eldest son would be prince but a firstborn daughter wouldn’t be a princess.

“All the children of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales should enjoy the style, title and attribute of Royal Highness with the titular dignity of Prince or Princess prefixed to their Christian names,” the Letters Patent obained by E! News read.

The “Diana: The Secrets of Her Style” author added that if Queen Elizabeth II won’t issue the Letters Patent, Prince Charles could do it. The Prince of Wales is also close to Prince Harry and is very fond of Markle. So, it wouldn’t be “surprising at all if he decided to give the baby a title when he ascends the throne if none has already been given.”

However, Clehane also believed that it’s possible for Prince Harry and Markle to prefer that their kids don’t have any royal title at all. Prince Harry is very open about his desire to live a normal life and a title for their baby may not suit their future plans. The late Princess Diana also wanted a normal type of life.

In related news, Sky News presenter Adam Boulton recently claimed that the former “Suits” actress married Prince Harry to enhance her celebrity status. A number of netizens also believed Markle would have not fallen for Prince Harry if he were not royalty.
