Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite grandchild could be hinting about leaving Britain for good.

The monarch has several grandchildren from Prince Charles and Princess Diana, Princess Anne and Mark Phillips, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, and Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex. However, Princess Anne’s children Zara and Philip are very special to Queen Elizabeth II.

Express reported that the Olympic equestrian could be hinting at leaving Britain for Australia for good. Zara was asked if she would move Down Under and she gave a positive response but that might not happen soon since she has her sights set on competing for Britain in the 2020 Olympic games in Japan.

“Probably not while I’m still competing. It would be a little bit hard commuting,” Zara said when asked if she would love to move to Australia. “But after that … yes, I think if an opportunity came up we’d definitely think about it.”

Zara and her husband Mike Tindall celebrated New Year’s Eve in Australia with “Pitch Perfect” star Rebel Wilson. The latter shared a snap of them together on Instagram from a mansion overlooking the Sydney Harbour Bridge. In the caption, Wilson said that she celebrated the event with a “fun gang.”

Zara and Mike’s potential move to Australia might saddened the Queen because she is Her Majesty’s favorite. In fact, she was among the people who were expected to support and join the monarch during her stay in Sandringham for the holidays.

According to royal biographer Ingrid Seward, the Queen is very fond of the Royal Princess’ children because they are her first grandchildren. In fact, when Zara was a kid, the Queen would give her a smack around her legs when she was naughty and it happened frequently. Seward added that the Queen is more relaxed when around Zara and Peter.

On Zara and Mike’s big day, the bride paid a tribute to her grandmother by choosing an ivory wedding dress designed by the Queen’s favorite designer Stewart Parvin. During the event, Queen Elizabeth II and Zara posed casually for an intimate photo.
