Queen Elizabeth II is not only the most powerful member of the British royal family, but she is also the wealthiest. It is no surprise then that she has given her children, grandchildren and extended members of their family many extravagant gifts over the years.

Just recently, Queen Elizabeth II bestowed a new title to her youngest child, Prince Edward. He was named Earl of Forfar, a title he can now use when visiting Scotland. Check out the list below for more lavish gifts the Queen has given during her reign as monarch.

Prince William and Kate Middleton

Giving away a mansion as a wedding present might be impossible for most, but Queen Elizabeth II, who owns numerous properties, had no problem bestowing her grandson with a new country home after he started his own family. After Prince William and Kate Middleton exchanged vows in a lavish royal wedding in 2011, the Queen gave them Anmer Hall, a 10-bedroom residence on the Sandringham estate.

Built in 1802, Anmer Hall has become the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's home away from home. Just recently, the royal couple brought their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, there for a getaway during the two eldest children's half-term break, Daily Mail reported.

Duchess Kate also received another lavish gift from the Queen, but this time it's just for her own personal use. Last year, Middleton was spotted wearing the Royal Family Order, a broach painted with an image of Queen Elizabeth II, during a state banquet for the Dutch royal family.

Back in 2008, Prince William was also honored by his grandmother with the oldest and most prestigious title in Britain: the Order of the Garter. He was made the 1000th knight of the Garter since its formation in 1348.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Like Prince William and Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also received some rather extravagant presents from the Queen. The soon-to-be parents reportedly received priceless artwork, including pieces from Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci and Andy Warhol, from the Queen's own art collection, according to Vanity Fair.

The art pieces will reportedly be displayed in Prince Harry and Markle's new residence, Frogmore Cottage, which they have been in the process of renovating since last year.

Princess Eugenie

Queen Elizabeth II footed most of the bill for her granddaughter Princess Eugenie's royal wedding to Jack Brooksbank last year, Hello! reported. She also made sure that Princess Eugenie would outshine everyone on her big day by loaning her the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara as her "something borrowed."

Prince Philip

As Queen Elizabeth II's husband, Prince Philip has received numerous gifts from his wife over the 70 years of their marriage. To mark their platinum wedding anniversary, the Queen gave him an extra special present, bestowing him with the title Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.

Zara Tindall

Queen Elizabeth II also gave her oldest granddaughter Zara Tindall a special wedding present when she tied the knot with Mike Tindall in 2011. For Zara's wedding, the monarch closed her official residence in Edinburgh, Holyroodhouse, for five days, costing the Royal Collection £40,000 ($52,876) in admissions. Queen Elizabeth paid for the expenses herself.
