Queen Mathilde of Belgium and Queen Rania of Jordan looked stunning as they attended a gala dinner at the Laeken Palace in Brussels Wednesday evening. The gala dinner was held in honor of Rania and her husband King Abdullah II, on the occasion of their royal visit to Belgium. The duo’s husbands King Abdullah and King Philippe were dressed in their royal regalia.

The 43-year-old queen of Belgium looked chic in a red tiered gown. The dress featured cap sleeves, square neckline, fitted sequined bodice, ruffled and tiered skirt. Mathilde accessorized with diamond and pearl earrings from Queen Fabiola’s collection, she also wore bracelets on both her hands, her engagement ring and carried a small red clutch.

The Belgian queen’s show-stopping accessory was her impressive Nine Provinces Tiara. Mathilde’s honey blonde locks were pulled back in a side part and styled into a low braided and twisted chignon, the season’s hottest hair trend. Her flawless make-up consisted of black eyeliner, mascara, pink blush and a slick of red lipgloss. She also wore her royal sash.

Mathilde’s tiara was originally made with arches of diamonds on top of the base, but she usually wears just the bandeau. She wore the full version with arches for the first time at Queen Margrethe’s 75th birthday celebrations in 2015.

The Jordanian queen, Rania was also dressed to the nines in a monochrome outfit. The 45-year-old wore a white top that featured round neck and flared sleeves with a beaded black full-length skirt. Rania’s black high-waist bead encrusted skirt is from Balmain’s Fall 2016 collection (Look 31 worn by Gigi Hadid on the catwalk is white).

The mother-of-four accessorized with oversize diamond drop earrings, a bracelet and a dainty headpiece. The tiara by tiara by Boucheron can also be worn as a bracelet. Her long brunette tresses were swept back and styled into waves. She added just a pop of color to her ensemble a purple royal sash.

The brunette beauty opted for a frosted look with brown lipstick, matching blush, kohl lined eyes and mascara. The queen carried a nude and silver box clutch and wore matching high heels. Rania and Mathilde accompanied their husbands to the dinner held at the Belgian royal family’s official residence, the Royal Palace of Laeken in Brussels.

Earlier in the day, Rania and Mathilde coordinated in soft pastel colors. The former looked elegant in a pink coat with a gold flower embroidered on the left lapel, worn over a dress in a matching shade. Mathilde teamed her striking oversize hat with a yellow and white houndstooth dress and rose gold satin slingbacks. They then headed to the Université Catholique de Louvain for their first engagement.
