“Rambo 5: Last Blood” is the last film of the franchise about the former soldier, and it is expected to pay tribute to all the previous movies. Lead cast member Sylvester Stallone teased the possibility of a big flashback scene of the film on social media that suggests that the fans will get to see the long journey of the character.

“Flashback,” Stallone captioned a picture on Instagram. Fans of the franchise will remember the scene from the third installment from the franchise, in which the former soldier faces the invading Soviet forces alone in Afghanistan.

Stallone used the still from the old film to tease the release date of the upcoming movie. “Rambo, LAST BLOOD riding your way this fall,” the veteran actor wrote in his post.

In his post, Stallone teased that the fifth and the last installment of the franchise was “very difficult” to make. He, however, added that this is exactly how he likes to make a movie. The actor said that if it doesn’t hurt, it means that the cast and crew haven’t tried hard enough.

“They drew First Blood, I will draw Last,” Stallone wrote quoting the famous philosophy of his character.

This isn’t the first time that Stallone has teased a possible flashback sequence in “Rambo 5: Last Blood.” He previously shared a picture of him standing next to a younger Rambo.

Will the upcoming film use iconic scenes from the old movies in a flashback sequence? The trailer has already teased how John will find it hard to adjust to the life at the ranch after being in so many battles in his life. It remains to be seen if Stallone has used scenes from the old films in the flashback sequences or if they have some unseen footage that has been used.

“Rambo 5: Last Blood” will also bring back some iconic weapons that the former soldier has used in the past, like the bow and the hunting knife. The knife in the upcoming film is called “The Heart Stopper.”
