Randall Emmett has opened up about his split from ex-fiancee Lala Kent. During his “Genuinely GG” podcast interview with Golnesa Gharachedaghi Tuesday, the film producer admitted he was at fault in the former couple's split.

While Emmett did not directly admit to cheating on Kent, he admitted he made “mistakes” that led to their split. “I’ve made mistakes, she’s made mistakes, but I’m never going to bring that to light because that’s just not right,” he said. “For me, I just don’t feel it’s appropriate.”

“I can’t tell her what to do. She’s a strong woman, and I just hope that in time that kind of all mellows out,” he continued.

Emmett went on to say he never wanted to “disparage or talk ill” about his ex because she is the mother of their one-year-old daughter, Ocean. “I just have to always look at the big picture,” he said. “I just can’t talk badly about the mother of my child. I just can’t do it. No matter what is said about me.”

While the “Vanderpump Rules” star has yet to address Emmett’s recent statements, a source close to Kent told People that she’s in a good place following their split.

“Lala is moving off on with her life,” the source told the outlet. “She’s busy and not focused on what Randall is saying, and she’s focused on herself and her projects.”

Kent and Emmett ended their engagement last October after being together for three years. They got engaged in 2018 and were supposed to marry in 2020 but decided to delay their plans due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On March 2, Kent spoke out about their split and accused Emmett of creating a “toxic environment” for her and their child. Back in January, she also attributed her decision to break up with Emmett to him cheating on her with “many women.”

“It’s been kind of repeated behavior that I have found out about and it’s not just one person. It’s many,” she told Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live.”
